Our passion is to see people of all nations surrender to Jesus Christ and His life-giving grace.
Our uniqueness is that we welcome any missionary with a God-given vision that advances the Great Commission.
Most mission agencies require you to fit their vision. We do not recruit missionaries to fulfill our vision. Instead, we accept any missionaries with a God-given vision and endorsed by their local church, and enable them to do what the Lord has called them to do.
We are fully committed to advancing the Great Commission, but totally flexible in the ways our missionaries do this — flexible on ministry focus, strategy, geographic location, and budget. GYF missionaries do many ministries — evangelism, discipling, church planting, radio ministry, medical assistance, orphanages, correspondence courses, Bible schools, community development, translation, tentmaking. . . They work all over the world — Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, Central America, and North America. Salaries and budgets vary widely by location and situation. GYF is very flexible in these areas to enable missionaries to fulfill their God-given vision.
GYF is also very open regarding age, race, training, and background. We are excited to help retired Christians enter a second career in missions. Though small, we have broad ethnic diversity — Indonesian, Norwegian, African-American, Brazilian, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Kazak, German, African, as well as Anglo. While all candidates should have good Bible knowledge, ministry skills, and missions understanding, we have no minimal academic requirements for serving in Go Ye. We do consider a diploma from an accredited Bible institute or the equivalent in formal education or Christian service and seminary training to be desirable. Finally, GYF missionaries come from a wide range of professions — baking, building contracting, management, carpentry, programming, engineering, teaching, factory work, financial administration, hospital administration, journalism, nursing, pastoring, photojournalism, secretarial work, wholesale trading. . . We are very flexible and open in accepting candidates who have a Great Commission vision.
We are also flexible in partnering. In fact, GYF is eager to partner with churches and other agencies in fielding missionaries. We work as closely with churches as they desire, and we are working in partnership with several mission agencies.
In a word, Go Ye Fellowship's mission is to enable God-called missionaries to fulfill their God-given vision to advance Christ's mandate to make disciples of all peoples.
